DO YOU WANT TO PARTAKE OF THIS GREAT SERIES? 

YOU PROBABLY SHOULD. Even if you don’t typically like animanga, I would highly recommend giving this a shot. FMA was the first manga/anime I had watched since Pokemon and I was pretty hesitant at first, but this is a beautiful, beautiful story that I think everyone should consume. This series really showcases what is so wonderful about the medium of manga/anime and really, above all, it is a story about what binds humanity together, a story about discovering why living and overcoming strife is so crucial and so worth it. I could write sonnets about this series and why it means so much to me, but for now, I’ll resist. I am, as I’m sure you can tell, incredibly passionate about this because this truly has been a formative, lifesaving series for me. It sounds corny and histrionic, but I am who I am today because I read FMA. 

BASICALLY this is a manga/anime that everyone should read despite (and perhaps because of) its medium

the other day we got a call from my grandma saying that she couldn’t come up for my sister’s graduation because she had to get surgery; apparently the needle from an estrogen shot broke off and got lost in one of her butt cheeks. she went to the er a few times but they couldn’t find it so they were like U GOTTA GET EMERGENCY SURGERY STAT!!!!!!

so now whenever something is hard to find, i think it is more fun and appropriate to say, “it’s like looking for a needle in grandma’s butt”
